Job description

Rodefer Moss is currently seeking a Senior Client Accounting Services (CAS) Associate to join our team!
Our CAS team partners with businesses across a variety of industries, providing outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting services. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys serving as a trusted resource for clients, managing multiple engagements, and helping business owners make informed financial decisions.
As a Senior CAS Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of clients.
  • Reviewing and recording client transactions while maintaining accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Preparing and reviewing bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Processing payroll and maintaining compliance with payroll tax requirements.
  • Preparing payroll tax, sales tax, and other business tax filings.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and responding to accounting-related inquiries.
  • Assisting clients with accounting software, process improvements, and best practices.
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality client service.
  • Supporting onboarding, mentoring, and training efforts for junior staff as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and advisory support to clients.
Requirements
Education, experience, and skills we're looking for:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, outsourced accounting, or client accounting services experience required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience managing multiple clients and competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
