Responsibilities
  • Oversee in-person and occasionally virtual examinations for NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as Master's in Biomedical Sciences students, including those requiring disability-related accommodations.
  • Strictly enforce academic policies and exam specific regulations.
  • Monitor students continuously throughout the testing period, provide seating/testing instructions, and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
  • New proctors must obtain training from head/lead proctors and must attend NYITCOM's Academic Affairs' annual proctor meeting held at the beginning of each academic year.
Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or higher is required

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks

Must be well organized Must be computer efficient

Must be able to move quietly about the examination room(s)

Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Ability to enforce NYITCOM/NYIT policies for exams
