Job Summary

The NVH Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) concerns, including squeaks, rattles, wind noise, and water leaks. Technicians will inspect vehicles, identify root causes, perform repairs, and verify repairs meet established quality standards.

Successful candidates are highly skilled automotive professionals with strong diagnostic abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair squeaks, rattles, vibration, wind noise, and water leaks.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and quality evaluations.
  • Remove and reinstall interior and exterior vehicle components without damage.
  • Conduct water leak testing and repair sealing issues.
  • Perform approved repairs using established work instructions.
  • Verify repairs through functional testing and final quality inspections.
  • Document findings, repairs, and inspection results accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and customer requirements.


Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive diagnostic or repair experience.
  • Previous experience diagnosing and repairing NVH concerns (noise, vibration, squeaks, rattles, wind noise, or water leaks) is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to remove and reinstall vehicle trim and components without causing damage.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair procedures and technical work instructions.
  • Valid driver's license (if vehicle operation is required).

Preferred

  • Automotive dealership, OEM, manufacturing, or quality experience.
  • ASE Certification or technical training.
  • Experience with electric or luxury vehicles.


Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in confined vehicle spaces throughout the shift
  • Perform repetitive movements and safely operate tools and equipment
  • Work in an automotive manufacturing or repair environment
