The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Reports and records observations and contribute to the efficient functionality of the department.

  • PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. 
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Experience: Must be at least 16 years old; Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old

License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:

  1. Must have recently or previously completed a CNA course 
  2. Active CNA Certification or EMT-B Certification preferred
  3. Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  4. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire
