Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for pediatric to geriatric patients. This role involves developing and updating care plans, implementing medical plans, and ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality. The RN also participates in professional development and compliance activities, demonstrating a positive attitude and promoting effective communication within the facility.
Requirements
  • Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases in the assessment process.
  • Provide written assessments of patients on admission and throughout the nursing process.
  • Plan and update formal written care plans, including discharge plans.
  • Implement medical plans and document nursing interventions.
  • Respect patient dignity and confidentiality, acting as an advocate for patients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care and modify care plans as needed.
  • Plan and implement patient and family instruction.
  • Demonstrate hospital-wide safety and emergency plans.
  • Serve as a resource for orientation, patient, and staff education.
  • Participate in committee and nursing meetings, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
