Virtual Server Administrator – Quantico VA

Clearance:  Secret w/SSBI
Essential Functions:
 
  • Under general supervision, manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft environment.
  • Perform daily system checks, review and respond to events reflected in various management tools, perform server patch management.
  • Notify Government representative of issues involving performance of the operating environment.
  • Conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required to ensure system health.
  • Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure.
 
Technical Skills Required:
 
  • Active Directory
  • Clustering,
  • Domain Name System, and
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
  • Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques,
  • Use of remote server management tools.
Pre-Requisites:
 
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current DoD Secret clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work is performed in 24/7 environment and must be able to work second/third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Five to nine (5‐9) years of experience required.
  • Must possess VMware Certified Associate (VCA) certification.
  • Must obtain VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification within 6 months.
  • Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01‐M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II – Security+
