The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program seeks a qualified Adjunct Biostatistician to provide statistical consultation and methodological support to DNP students and faculty engaged in evidence-based practice (EBP), quality improvement (QI), implementation science, and program evaluation initiatives.
This role ensures methodological rigor, appropriate data analysis, and ethical data management in DNP projects and program outcomes assessment. The adjunct biostatistician will collaborate with DNP faculty to ensure students receive appropriate statistical guidance consistent with the scope of doctoral-level practice projects.
The salary isdeterminedin accordance withthe University's compensation structure and will becommensuratewith the candidates' education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
Responsibilities:- Provide statistical consultation to DNP students on project design, sampling, data management, and analysis.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate statistical methods for project design and evaluation.
- Assist with selection and interpretation of appropriate statistical tests.
- Support students with data analysis using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, or similar platforms).
- Guide students in interpretation of statistical findings and appropriate reporting of results.
- Collaborate with DNP faculty to ensure statistical approaches align with project objectives.
- Provide feedback on statistical sections of student manuscripts, posters, or presentations as needed.
- Participate in scheduled consultation sessions with students (virtual or in-person).
- Review data analysis sections of DNP project proposals and final reports.
- Participate on DNP project committees as a methodological consultant, as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty on program evaluation and accreditation-related data analysis.
- Deliver workshops or instructional sessions on applied biostatistics and data interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies regarding data security and IRB standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related quantitative field.
- Experience with healthcare-related data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R, Stata, Intellectus, or equivalent).
- Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality improvement, process evaluation, evidence-based practice projects, and implementation science methodologies.
- Experience supporting graduate or doctoral-level students.
- Experience in academic health sciences or nursing education settings preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related quantitative field.
