What You’ll Be DoingAs a Baker at The Village Bakery and Cafe, your day will be filled with exciting and rewarding tasks, including: - Preparing, laminating, and finishing croissant, puff pastry, bagels, and Danish dough. - Crafting delicious fillings to complement our baked goods. - Assisting in daily production tasks to keep our bakery running smoothly. - Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail in every product you create.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking someone who brings both skill and passion to the table. Here’s what we’re looking for: - Professional baking experience: This role requires prior experience in a bakery setting, particularly with laminating dough. - Attention to detail: Precision and care are essential to creating the high-quality products our customers love. - Strong communication skills: Collaboration is key in our team-oriented environment. - Reliability and punctuality: We need someone who can be counted on to show up and deliver their best every day. - Organized and independent: You should be able to manage your tasks efficiently while contributing to the team’s success. - Transportation and location: Reliable transportation is a must, and living in the immediate area is preferred.
Schedule and FlexibilityThis position requires working Sundays and Mondays from 5 AM to 1 PM. Additional days can be discussed and scheduled with some flexibility. While the role starts as part-time, it has the potential to grow into a full-time position once training is complete.
