Job Title: Production Video Supervisor - Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure

Division: Rail Events Productions

Branch/Division: Season /Design Staff

Reports To: Director of Production & Production Managers

Type of position: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Employee Classification: Seasonal

Compensation: $28/hr

Job Summary

The Production Video Supervisor works with the video designer, local video technicians, and production team during pre-production, load-in, show run, and load-out. The Production Video Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of the video system. They are responsible for training local video technicians and for remotely supervising operations during the performance run.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the Video Designer, Production Managers, and production staff to oversee prep, install, and maintenance of video systems

Support and train the local crew operators and production team throughout the run of the event in the case of system problems or necessary troubleshooting

Create all necessary documentation for on-site video crews to load in video equipment

Specify and plan all necessary details of the video design to create a working system

Oversee all shop prep of video equipment

Be available throughout the run of events to answer questions and supervise the operation of video systems

Work with the production staff during load out to see that the event space is returned appropriately

Responsible for seeing that the video systems are maintained with artistic integrity throughout the event

Work with the production staff during technical rehearsals to incorporate last-minute changes

Communicate regularly with REP staff about creative and practical ideas and decisions, as well as project statuses

Become knowledgeable of AHR and REP policies and procedures, as well as the REP-owned assets and equipment

Become familiar with railroad safety rules

Work with the entire event team to maintain a positive, enjoyable, and rewarding environment for all staff and guests

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience as a theatrical video technician and/or supervisor

Experience with LED panels/Video monitors/Disguise and various video servers

Ability to work alongside the production staff as a team member in an ever-changing environment

Ability to work independently with self-motivation and attention to detail, as well as excellent organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize, and solve practical problems and resolve issues

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form

Work Environment

Domestic travel

Evening and weekend work

Fast-paced work environment

Frequent long intervals of walking, standing, bending, and lifting

Varying temperatures and weather conditions; both indoor and outdoor

Able to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving train

Time spent in and around active railroad yard(s)
