Main Campus - Fully onsite

Position Summary

To assist the Director of Tennis in all facets of the program including planning, coaching, and recruiting. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Tennis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists the head coach in managing and directing the program
  • Assists in planning and leading collegiate tennis practices, providing technical instruction and individualized player development strategies
  • Conduct match and opponent performance analysis using video review and statistical data to identify tactical insights and support coaching decisions
  • Produce digital media content, match highlights, and promotional materials to enhance team visibility, athlete engagement, and program branding
  • Leverage technology, analytics, and performance metrics to improve match preparation, streamline coaching workflows, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Manage all social media accounts for the program utilizing university approved graphic designs
  • Assists with recruiting, including contacting prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players utilizing available technology resources and data, maintaining accurate records and data bases on the NCAA and ITA programs.
  • Works cooperatively with personnel in the athletic department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University in a positive manner when interacting with the community, alumni, coaches, the media and the general public.
  • Responsible for abiding by NCAA II compliance rules and legislation as well as educating student-athletes about those rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Tennis and/or the Vice President/Director of Athletics.
  • Failure to comply by NCAA II rules will be grounds for discipline and/or termination.

Education:Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience:At least 2-4 years of experience in the sport of Tennis, including playing and/or coaching. Other significant experience relative to coaching and/or the administration of an intercollegiate athletics program can be considered.

Valid Driver's License to assist with driving vans

Skills and abilities:

  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty. Positive attitude a must.
