Job Summary: 

The Production Intern will work alongside our production team at the Hall of Fame Village, to support the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of events and experiences. This role provides hands-on exposure to event operations, production logistics, and behind-the-scenes coordination to help ensure successful event delivery.

The ideal intern is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited to gain hands-on experience with production equipment, technical operations, and event support.


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of production equipment for events, programs, and special projects.
  • Support event production activities by helping troubleshoot equipment issues and ensuring systems are event-ready.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and inventory tracking to support operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production staff on technical and logistical projects while adhering to safety and operational standards.
  • Provide on-site support during events to help ensure seamless execution of production elements.
  • Support the organization and management of digital media assets, production documentation, and project files.
  • Assist with the re-recording, editing, and management of emergency announcement content.
  • Support the production and recording of training materials and educational content for internal use.
  • Maintain production equipment, files, and workspaces through documentation, labeling, inventory management, and organizational best practices.
  • Assist with audio, video, and network-related projects while gaining hands-on experience in production technologies and technical operations.
  • Learn and apply foundational production skills, including soldering, network cable termination, networking, and audio/video concepts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Audio/Visual Production, Broadcast Production, Media Production, Digital Media, or a related technical field.
  • Interest in audio, video, and event production technologies.
  • Familiarity with video and audio recording techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of video and audio editing software and workflows.
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts and technical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn new technical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary), as business needs require.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn new software and technology platforms as needed.

Physical Requirements for Position:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside. 
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.  
  • The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position. 
  • Must be able to see, hear, and speak. 
  • Must have the manual dexterity to perform essential job functions. 
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
