We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading and promoting a customer-friendly store atmosphere by providing exceptional customer assistance. To apply knowledge of video games, video game systems, consumer electronics, and software to buying, processing, and selling; continuously incorporating positive customer focused strategies. Staff prices, sorts, stocks, and merchandises all areas of the department, as well as works at the Incoming Merchandise/Trade counter buying and pricing merchandise.
Job Requirements:
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Customer Service requires patience, kindness, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities and customer needs.
• Professional telephone skills
• Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule to include early mornings, evenings, mid-shifts, and weekends.
• Understanding of the pricing, trading, and discount systems at Bookmans.
• Motivated to learn how to buy/process/sell video games and electronics.
• General knowledge of products sold at Bookmans.
• Knowledge of store sections and layout.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from the Electronics Department Supervisor/Lead and Store Management.
• Ability to use reference materials.
• Must be able to conduct oneself in a civil, professional, and respectful manner at work.
This position is full-time and scheduled at 30 or more hours a week.
