Heritage Auctions is the largest auction house founded in the U.S. and serves more than 40 different auction categories including, Coins, Sports, Comics, Historical, Jewelry, Fine & Decorative Art, Wine, and many more.

LOCATION: South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Consignment Director of Video Games in processing incoming consignments as well as assisting with assigned consignment work. Note: You must submit a cover letter explaining your interest in the role and any relevant experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process incoming consignments accurately and efficiently, including:
    • Opening packages
    • Labeling and verifying contents of packages
    • Creating an electronic inventory for the consignment
  • Communicate with clients in all aspects of the consignment
  • Research the status of consignments
  • Return client material when requested
  • Perform department-wide inventories of consignment material
  • Answer client inquiries
  • Assemble client information packets
  • Write basic catalog descriptions for video game auction lots
  • Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Candidate must have a genuine interest in vintage and modern video games and the history of the industry. Including, but not limited to knowledge of major and ancillary video game companies as well as publishers and developers, both past and present.
  • Experience in customer service or related field
  • Interest in collectibles

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be highly proficient in basic Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task and pay great attention to detail
  • Individual may occasionally need to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable using a ladder
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment and willing to take direction and learn. This position may require overnight travel based on business needs.
