Position Summary:

This position is responsible for controlling all Connecticut Sun video production during games and events as well as producing and contributing content to be utilized through the Connecticut Sun WNBA Team's website, social media platforms, VFX elements and other creative projects as assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating high quality video content for use on various platforms
  • Reviews audio and visual footage and uses computer software to organize clips into a cohesive unit
  • Actively participates in the creative development process for all digital and graphic content
  • Collaborates with fellow Team Members and other internal departments to ensure professional and polished appearances on all video productions
  • Produces engaging and entertaining content and graphics to promote our WNBA team with quick turnaround
  • Shoots, edits, and creates original content to be displayed on website, in-arena, game broadcasts and social medias
  • Creates and edit videos for special events, projects and campaigns
  • Works all game days as the video lead as well as other events that require video capture

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the production and creation of graphic elements that effectively activate our partnership initiatives, as well as all aspects of digital and fixed signage
  • Maintains all video production equipment
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years' experience in video editing and shooting live games
  • Strong working knowledge of the WNBA and its teams
  • Previous experience in a fast paced, sports environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and non-linear editing systems
  • Strong background in video production including writing, shooting and editing with experience in motion graphics and graphic design
  • Knowledge of camera operation and lighting, and audio set-up
  • Technical knowledge/skills within an edit bay/control room environment

  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Training Requirements:

  • Knowledge of all programs and applications related to video editing and web development

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office work environment
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen and stand for extended periods of time
  • Some overnight travel may be required
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
