Job description

Testronic is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the product lifecycle, responsible for identifying defects, verifying functionality, and ensuring that our software and game products meet the highest quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test games and software using provided test plans and guidelines
  • Identify, document, and report bugs or technical issues using QA tools such as JIRA or similar platforms
  • Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Participate in beta testing and provide clear, useful feedback to development teams
  • Keep accurate records of testing progress, bugs, and results
  • Work closely with developers, producers, and other QA team members to resolve issues quickly
  • Help identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to testing processes
  • Support teammates and assist with additional QA tasks when needed
  • Follow internal QA standards and workflows to maintain high testing quality
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Computer Science, IT, Game Development, or a related field is a plus
  • Comfortable using computers, gaming consoles, mobile devices, and different operating systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for gaming with familiarity across different game genres and platforms
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in QA testing, software testing, or another technical role
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps
  • Basic understanding of QA methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Experience participating in beta testing or working with game development teams
  • ISTQB Certification or similar QA certification is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
This position has been designated as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay at a rate of one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a workweek, in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
