Position Type: Internship

Location: Larry George Training Annex 1913 Estelle Drive Steubenville, Ohio

Schedule: 10–20 hours per week 

About the Opportunity

The Jefferson County ESC Virtual Learning Academy is seeking a creative, motivated, and organized Intern to help tell the story of online education. This internship offers hands-on experience creating engaging content, supporting events, and learning how strategic communications impact students, families, and school districts.

What You'll Do

  • Create content for constant contact emails and social media platforms.
  • Design graphics and marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
  • Assist with content planning and social media scheduling.
  • Capture and edit photos, graphics, and short-form videos.
  • Brainstorm creative marketing campaigns and promotional ideas.
  • Support virtual events, webinars, and outreach initiatives.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across marketing materials.
  • Research marketing trends and recommend new strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the VLA leadership team on special projects.
  • Review Education standards to create interactive activities for content.
