About the Role:

Reporting to the Director, Event Presentation + Production, the Video Producer is responsible for shooting, editing and publishing video content for OEG Inc., primarily focused on the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club.

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Ideate, shoot, edit and publish video content related to the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club as well as other OEG Inc. properties
  • Participate in on-location shoots, including but not limited to Oilers hockey, community programs, corporate partnerships and Edmonton Oil Kings hockey club
  • Assist in all areas of video production, including script writing, location selection, directing, sound, lighting, filming, editing and publishing
  • Produce feature videos and regular hockey coverage for the Oilers at home and away games
  • Assist with the execution of live streams including Oilers Plus post-game shows
  • Assist with the maintenance and organization of the Oilers TV digital content archive
  • Create still and motion graphics to be used within video projects and on social media channels

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in broadcast journalism, digital media or related field
  • Two or more years of progressive experience in digital media, specifically video production
  • Understanding of technical aspects of video production, including lighting specifications, lenses, camera angles, exposure, focus and backgrounds
  • Experience operating a variety of professional video cameras and DSLRs; experience operating Sony Cameras including the FS7, FX6, and FX3 considered a benefit
  • Strong editing skills on Adobe Premiere Pro a requirement; Knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop an asset
  • Knowledge of live streaming production and technology an asset
  • Working in Live Production considered an asset
  • Experience working with, and as, on-screen talent considered an asset
  • Communicates effectively, builds employee relationships, and provides support to all key stakeholders to ensure achievement of OEG Inc. goals and objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick content turnaround deadlines
  • Must possess a valid passport for potential team travel outside of Canada
