About the Job

This position is needed to grow, educate, and engage Twilio's global developer audience through video and media. As a Technical Video Content Intern, you'll combine your passion for technology with storytelling to create shortform video content that helps developers succeed with Twilio's platform. You will spend your summer learning how to structure developer-centric content, improving your coding skills, and gaining hands-on experience with professional video editing. You'll collaborate closely with our Developer Media team to bring educational, engaging content to life.

This role involves partnering with a global team to plan, create, and deliver developer content, in partnership with product, brand, as well as marketing teams. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, aiming to boost customer satisfaction through high-quality, developer focused content.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

  • Ideate, develop, and release a specific short-form video series tailored for social platforms.
  • Assist in growing Twilio's developer audience through short-form video that educates and entertains developers on Twilio's platform (Content Creation).
  • Develop content concepts, outlines, and scripts for tutorials and explainers (Pre-Production).
  • Regularly appear on camera to deliver engaging technical content.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure content is technically accurate and aligned with developer needs.
  • Partner with Brand and Marketing teams to review final edits for clarity and quality.
  • Publish and maintain content across Twilio's developer channels and social platforms (Distribution).
  • Use analytics and feedback to learn and continuously improve your storytelling.

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a Junior or Senior, preferably studying Computer Science, Communications, Film, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of how to create and edit short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts).
  • Foundational knowledge of web-based technologies, including but not limited to APIs, and HTTP methods/requests.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language of your choice.
  • Strong developer empathy and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Desired:

  • Basic hands-on experience with video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar).
  • Familiarity with tools for screen capture, livestreams, or recordings.
  • Experience working with Airtable or similar tools for content planning and production workflows.

Location

This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 15% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation

*Please note the salary range information provided applies only to candidates residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State due to local requirements. Compensation for candidates in other locations will be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that hiring for this role is not restricted to the locations listed above.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C.: $32.00/hour
  • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $34.00/hour
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $37.00/hour

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
