Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Emergency Medicine Physician practice is seeking a qualified physician for NC. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Location: Central North Carolina
Specialty Needed: BC/BE EM - FP or IM okay with Lev II ER experience
BC/BE Requirements: BC/ BE
Length Of Assignment: Needs 3 months of coverage; 12-hour shifts every two weeks
Facility Type: Acute Care Medical Facility
Patient Volume: 63 patients/day
Call Requirements: n/a
Central NC, seeks BC/BE Physician to help pick up shifts in there Emergency Department. Need as soon as we get credentialed; credentialing takes 6+ weeks. New providers will need to come in the day before scheduled call for orientation.
Details:
Will accept EM physicians and IM/FM physicians with emergency experience
Required certifications if IM/FM: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
ED has 15 total beds
New ED renovation
Minor Emergency section newly opened (fast track)- 12 hours daily
Total inpatient census: 47 acute; 24 behavioral
Average number of ED Patients/Day: 63
Average number of Admissions/Day: 11
Ideally looking for Six 12 hour shifts every two weeks

Level II Trauma ED
Medical ICU
Level 1 Nursery
24-hr Radiology available
EKG: read by ED physicians initially, then Vidant Cardiology in Greenville, NC
24-hr Surgical Services available
Ortho available 4 days/week
Cardiology, on site 2 days/week
Critical Care via telemedicine
Psychiatry available
24/7 Hospitalist programs (Med-Peds)
Other info:
22,000 ED visits/year
EMR = EPIC (HealthSpan)
ER Physician must be available for a day before shift starts for orientation
