Position Overview
A Vice President within Teneo Risk Advisory is a key member of the team, bringing project management discipline, consulting expertise, and subject-matter experience to develop critical deliverables and support complex client engagements. In this role, you will help shape and execute mandates across our strategic intelligence and crisis-management offerings-supporting open-source and investigative research, threat intelligence monitoring, and geopolitical and security analysis.
The Vice President will also contribute to internal division management by developing project plans, tracking mechanisms, and other foundational materials that enable seamless execution across Risk Advisory engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Intelligence & Crisis Engagements
  • Lead day-to-day responsibilities across client engagements focused on strategic, corporate, and threat intelligence.
  • Support fast-moving intelligence requirements, rapidly assessing sources to produce accurate, timely reports.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging geopolitical, security, and operational risks, advising project leads on potential client impacts.

Analytical Excellence & Deliverable Development
  • Produce and refine high-quality written analysis for a range of client products, ensuring clarity, rigor, and executive-ready insights.
  • Edit all client-facing deliverables, ensuring accuracy, analytical depth, and alignment with senior leadership expectations.
  • Conduct in-depth investigative research across open-source, proprietary, and client-provided datasets and synthesize findings into actionable intelligence.

Client Delivery & Advisory Support
  • Deliver tailored client solutions with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and strong self-direction.
  • Operate effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments, maintaining professionalism while delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs in collaboration with senior team members, contributing insights that inform strategic decision-making.

Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple workstreams and deliverables concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Adapt analysis and priorities quickly in response to evolving risks or crisis events.
  • Work across diverse client industries and global geographies, tailoring insights to context-specific risks and requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience supporting corporate intelligence with demonstrated experience delivering strategic advisory on critical issues.
  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution.
  • Proficiency in open-source and public-records research, intelligence and social media analysis tools (including deep/dark web platforms), and advanced Boolean research techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic insights and recommendations under pressure, earning the trust of senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise, executive-oriented insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to drive solutions through completion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Awareness of open-source technology market trends, research and development, and regulatory policy.
  • Experience with management or risk management consulting.
  • Strong understanding of international and domestic threat actors, geopolitical dynamics, and the broader strategic risk landscape.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with intellectual rigor, sound judgment, and a proactive, innovative approach to client challenges.
  • Demonstrated history of first-line managing and mentoring junior colleagues or research teams.
  • Master's degree in international affairs or a related field is preferred.

Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Flexible Work Policy Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
