Job description

150 Preston Executive Drive Suite 213, Cary , North Carolina 27513 , United States

Job Description POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Vice President, Operations (RVP) leads a portfolio of regional offices within a division, owning full P&L performance, operational execution, and leadership development across the region. The RVP directly manages the General Managers of assigned offices and is accountable for profitable revenue growth, service quality, safety, working capital discipline (including collections and WIP management), and building high-performing local leadership teams.

This is a hands‑on, field‑facing operating role in the restoration industry. The RVP spends the majority of their time in the region's offices -- coaching GMs, walking jobs, meeting customers and carrier/TPA partners, and driving execution of company initiatives at the local level. The RVP is a key partner tothe Division Vice President and a critical link between corporate strategy and field results, aligned to ATI's Big 4: Grow Sales, Culture/Customer First, Build a Strong GP, and Rev'n Up Cash.

The person who thrives in this role is a decisive, high-accountability operator who leads through their GMs rather than around them -- equally comfortable reading a WIP report, coaching a leadership team, and standing on a loss site during a CAT event. They bring urgency, financial fluency, and a genuine Customer First instinct to a 24/7/365, high-growth business.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Operational & Financial Leadership
  • Own regional P&L: revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, and operating expense performance across all assigned offices.
  • Drive job-level profitability through estimating discipline, project management rigor, production efficiency, and subcontractor/vendor cost management across mitigation, reconstruction, environmental, and contents service lines.
  • Own working capital performance for the region: WIP turns, billing timeliness, collections, and DSO improvement.
  • Review monthly office financials with each GM; diagnose variances and drive corrective action plans with clear owners and dates.
  • Ensure operational readiness for storm/CAT response, including surge staffing, equipment, and cross-office resource sharing.
  • Partner with the sales organization and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to grow regional revenue across commercial, residential, and program (carrier/TPA) channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, insurance carriers, TPAs, consultants, and referral partners in the region.
  • Hold offices accountable for pipeline health, program compliance, estimate conversion, and customer experience metrics (including reviews and NPS).
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain General Managers and their leadership teams; build bench strength and succession plans for every office.
  • Lead a monthly performance conversation cadence with each GM; conduct talent reviews and calibration; own performance development actions in the region.
  • Model and reinforce ATI's culture: direct communication, accountability with empathy, and Customer First behavior.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Champion a safety-first culture; ensure OSHA compliance, incident reporting discipline, and completion of required safety training across all offices.
  • Ensure work quality and compliance with industry standards (IICRC S500/S520 and related), licensing, and regulatory requirements across all service lines and jurisdictions in the region.
  • Ensure offices operate within company SOPs, estimating platforms (e.g., Xactimate), job documentation standards, and internal controls.
Execution of Company Initiatives
  • Lead regional rollout and adoption of enterprise initiatives -- systems, bonus plans, onboarding programs, safety programs, and operating rhythms -- ensuring consistent execution at every office.
  • Communicate up and down effectively: give the DVP an accurate, timely read on regional performance and risk; give offices clarity on priorities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Division Vice President.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience, including multi‑unit or multi‑site P&L ownership, is required.
  • 5 years in restoration, construction, facilities services, or a related service industry is required.
  • Demonstrated success leading leaders -- hiring, developing, and holding accountable GM‑level or equivalent talent is required.
  • Strong financial acumen (P&L management, WIP, job costing, margin management, and collections) is required.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region (up to 50''--60''), including rapid deployment during CAT events, is required.
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, TPAs, and program work is strongly preferred
  • Industry certifications (IICRC WRT/ASD/AMRT or similar) and familiarity with Xactimate and restoration job management platforms are a plus.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi‑brand environment is a plus.
CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Drives Results -- sets a high bar, holds teams accountable, and delivers the numbers without sacrificing culture or safety.
  • Develops Talent -- builds strong GMs and deep benches; coaches through others rather than doing the work for them.
  • Business & Financial Acumen -- reads a P&L and a WIP report fluently and knows which levers to pull.
  • Customer First -- keeps the customer experience at the center of operational decisions.
  • Direct Communication -- communicates candidly, listens well, and builds trust across field and corporate teams.
  • Adaptability & Urgency -- thrives in a 24/7 emergency-response business and a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has direct reports: the General Managers (GMs) of the assigned regional offices. The Regional Vice President is responsible for the performance management, coaching and development, day-to-day direction, and overall effectiveness of these leaders and -- through them -- the leadership teams of every office in the region, including building bench strength and succession plans.

TRAVEL & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel is expected up to 50''--60'', primarily to regional offices for GM coaching, job walks, and customer/carrier meetings, with rapid deployment during CAT events.
  • This is a 24/7/365 emergency-response business; the role requires schedule flexibility, including surge availability during storm and catastrophe response.
  • Work is primarily performed in a field-based environment across the assigned region -- regional offices, active job sites, and customer locations -- rather than a single fixed office.
ABOUT ATI RESTORATION

ATI Restoration is one of the nation's largest family of restoration brands, with 50+ regional offices delivering emergency mitigation, reconstruction, environmental remediation, and contents services to commercial and residential customers across the country. When disaster strikes -- fire, water, storm, mold, or catastrophe -- our teams respond 24/7/365 to restore properties and help people and businesses recover. Our people are the difference: we lead with a Customer First culture, invest in growth from within, and hold ourselves accountable for results. The RVP role sits at the center of that promise -- the critical link that turns corporate strategy into consistent, profitable results in the field.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

ATI Restoration is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Compensation for this position will be discussed during the interview process and administered consistent with ATI's pay transparency practices and applicable state and local requirements.
