Job Description Maximize Starz Entertainment (STE) subscribers and revenue through marketing, promotional, and point-of-sale campaigns that position STE services with affiliated Distributors (MVPDs, OTT, OEMs, Mobile). This vital role serves as the strategic bridge between STE’s internal creative teams and our external distribution partners. The VP will leverage a deep understanding of distributor platforms to adapt STE overall content creative into highly effective partner campaigns, ultimately driving consumer demand, viewership, subscriber acquisition, and long term revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Annual Campaign Planning & Strategy: Define and execute year-round partner marketing strategies designed to drive subscriber acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across the affiliate and OTT ecosystem
  • Marketing Strategy & Sell-In: Strategize on optimal marketing campaigns throughout the year to maximize revenue and effectively communicate STE’s high level content slate to distribution partners to successfully "sell in" marketing campaigns
  • Creative Optimization: Collaborate directly with Originals Marketing, Brand, and Creative Services to ensure content creative is adapted and optimized for our partners' specific marketing channels for maximum effectiveness
  • Operational Effectiveness: Work directly with marketing team to ensure efficient creation and distribution of STE marketing materials to support all distribution campaigns
  • Platform Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of MVPD and Streaming providers’ platforms, market trends, and user interfaces (UI/UX) to align partner capabilities with STE's audience and strategic goals, Lead company on optimizing to rapidly evolving algorithmic placements and UIs and Ensure flows conform to best practices and maximize value of STE placement
  • Executive Representation & Relationship Building: Act as the lead voice for Partner Marketing in executive-level partner discussions, building strong relationships with key partners to drive acquisition, product launches, and retail initiatives
  • Performance & Investment Optimization: Partner with Analytics, Finance, and Distribution teams to establish measurable KPIs, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and leverage consumer insights to optimize marketing fund investments
  • Operational & Financial Management: Manage contractual marketing funds, conduct monthly budget reviews, and ensure all marketing initiatives adhere to legal compliance (e.g., LOAs, vendor contracts, sweepstakes rules)
  • Project & Event Oversight: Track and manage the status of all cross-functional projects, seamlessly pivoting when necessary, and oversee affiliate participation in PR and consumer-facing events
  • Team Leadership: Build, develop, and lead a high-performing partner marketing organization by establishing clear objectives, coaching talent, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing preferred; Master’s Degree in Business Administration desired.
  • Experience: Minimum seven years’ experience as a senior marketing professional, including at least five years of industry experience and four years specifically driving consumer marketing initiatives
  • Platform Knowledge: Exceptional understanding of distributor marketing platforms, encompassing multi-platform marketing initiatives with the top 5 MVPDs, VOD, TVE, and OTT products
  • Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of distinct user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) across MVPD, OTT, and Mobile providers with a specific understanding of how recommendation engines and ML models impact placement and impressions / reach
  • Communication Skills: Superb interpersonal and presentation skills required to pitch content strategies to partners, articulate vision, and motivate internal teams
  • Additional Skills: Public relations and events experience is highly desirable.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Workfront, and SharePoint is preferred
