## Vice President Underwriting, Bail DivisionApplylocations: Indianapolis, INtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR101491-As the Bail Division continues to pursue strategic growth initiatives, this position will be responsible for expanding our agency force while maintaining underwriting discipline and fostering strong relationships with our agents and industry partners. The position also provides valuable field support through agency audits, underwriting guidance, training, and representation of company before state and national bail associations and legislative bodies.**Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:*** Recruit, appoint, and develop qualified bail bond agencies.* Underwrite agency appointments and large bond submissions.* Provide underwriting guidance and support to existing agents.* Conduct field audits and agency operational reviews.* Monitor agency performance and identify opportunities for growth and risk improvement.* Represent company at state and national industry conferences and association meetings.* Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the bail industry and participate in advocacy efforts when appropriate.* Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Compliance, and Executive Management to support the Division's strategic initiatives.* Travel as necessary to support agents, conduct audits, attend conferences, and develop new business opportunities.* Other duties as assigned.**Technical Knowledge and Understanding:*** Thorough knowledge of bail bond laws, regulations, and industry practices in multiple states or on a national level.* Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships with agents, regulators, and industry organizations.* Professional demeanor with excellent presentation and public speaking skills.* Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.**Experience:*** Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the commercial bail bond industry.* Extensive underwriting experience and/or a proven record of recruiting and developing bail bond agencies.* Experience evaluating agency performance, underwriting risk, and financial exposure.* Experience conducting agency audits and compliance reviews.* Legislative or governmental affairs experience advocating for bail bond-related issues is highly desirable.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Outgoing, self-motivated, and relationship-driven.* Strong organizational and time management skills.* Sound judgment and independent decision-making ability.* Strategic thinker with a focus on profitable growth.* Collaborative team player who represents company with integrity and professionalism.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over work authorization sponsorship now or in the future for this position. #LI-Hybrid-At Core Specialty, you will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
