Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and direction for all construction operations, establishing goals, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee program and project delivery for multi-family, high-rise, and commercial developments from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
  • Act as the senior project executive for flagship and high-complexity projects, making critical decisions, resolving escalations, and managing risk.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control processes; approve major change orders and capital allocations.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards across all sites.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of construction managers, superintendents, and functional leaders; recruit and develop talent to support business growth.
  • Drive procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiation strategies that deliver value, performance, and strong relationships with trade partners.
  • Collaborate closely with development, design, finance, legal, and client teams to align project objectives, schedules, and commercial outcomes.
  • Implement and leverage construction technologies and systems for schedule management, reporting, and document control to increase transparency and efficiency.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare executive-level reporting, board updates, and presentations for stakeholders and investors.
  • Champion sustainability and buildability practices, supporting value engineering and lifecycle cost considerations.
  • Represent the company externally with clients, municipalities, lenders, and industry groups to advance business development and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12+ years of progressive construction experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or project executive roles on multi-family, high-rise, or commercial projects.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex developments on-time and on-budget with demonstrated risk management and dispute resolution skills.
  • Deep technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, means and methods for high-rise and multi-family construction.
  • Experience with preconstruction, value engineering, procurement, contracting (GMP, CMAR, Design-Build) and change order management.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and project controls; comfort interacting with lenders and investors.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and talent development skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills; experience presenting to executive teams and boards.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or MS) or industry certification (PMP, CCM, LEED) preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction technology tools (scheduling software, BIM, estimating and document control systems).
