What theGlobal VP, Therapeutic Strategydoes at Worldwide

The Global Vice President, Therapeutic Strategy provides strategic leadership and therapeuticexpertiseacrossWorldwide'skey areas of focus, including Oncology, Rare Disease,Cardio Metabolic, and Neuroscience. This role partners closely with business development, marketing, and operational teams to develop innovative clinical and commercial strategies that drive business growth, support customer engagement, and increase market share. Serving as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, the VP plays a critical role in proposal development, client presentations, and study award activities while leading and mentoring a team of Therapeutic Strategy Leads.

What you will do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Therapeutic Strategy Leads through coaching, performance management, and career development.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and therapeuticexpertise.

Therapeutic Strategy & Market Growth

  • Develop and execute therapeutic go-to-market strategies across Oncology, Rare Disease,CardioMetabolic, and Neuroscience.

  • Analyzemarket trends, growth opportunities, competitive landscapes, and emerging therapeutic modalities toidentifystrategic areas of focus.

  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, including conference participation, webinars, publications, and customer-facing collateral.

  • Build and manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), consultants, and industry stakeholders.

Commercial & Business Development Support

  • Partner with Commercial leadership toidentifygrowth opportunities and support revenueobjectives.

  • Contribute to sales enablement through training, market intelligence, and therapeuticexpertise.

  • Support client meetings, proposal development, and biddefensesby articulating compelling strategies and differentiated solutions.

  • Help secure new business through strategic customer engagement and innovative trial delivery approaches.

Operational & Strategic Partnership Support

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Medical, Clinical Operations, and Project Delivery teams to develop effective clinical trial strategies.

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with investigative sites, patient advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide therapeutic and operational guidance to project teams to support successful study execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee external consultant and advocacy partnerships to advance therapeutic and organizationalobjectives.

What you will bring to the role

  • Deep knowledge of clinical research, therapeutic areas, and the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial delivery, GCP/ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to make informed decisions and balance competing priorities.

  • Commercial acumen with experience supporting business development, customer engagement, and growth initiatives.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven leadership experience in global, cross-functional, and matrixed environments.

  • Strong business, financial, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiencywith technology, research tools, and data-driven decision making.

  • Ability to mentor, develop, and influence teams while adapting to evolving business needs.

Your experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field; advanced degree (Master's, PhD, MD) preferred.

  • 15+ years of global clinical research experience, including clinical trial delivery and/or drug development.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex clinical development programs and delivering strategic business outcomes.
