Primary Purpose & Scope

The Vice President, Commercial Strategy serves as the enterprise leader responsible for accelerating adoption of Rite-Hite's strategic products, solutions, and growth initiatives across all sales channels and geographic regions. This role develops and executes enterprise strategies that increase product penetration, strengthen commercial capability, and improve customer outcomes by aligning product priorities, market opportunities, and sales execution with the organization's long-term growth strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Global Sales, the Vice President, Commercial Strategy leads a team of experts such as Solutions Architects, Allied and Digital Leaders and Industry Experts while partnering closely with Regional Sales Leaders, Enterprise & Major Accounts, New Construction, Channel Sales, Inside Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Service & Distribution Excellence, and Business Units. The role serves as the primary commercial bridge between the business units and the field organization, ensuring product strategies translate into measurable commercial success while providing market insights that influence future product, service, and solution development.

This is a hybrid role out of our Milwaukee, Wisconsin global headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the enterprise product penetration strategy to accelerate adoption of strategic products, solutions, and commercial initiatives that drive profitable growth across all markets and customer segments.

  • Partner with Business Units to align commercial priorities with product roadmaps, ensuring field strategies support enterprise growthobjectiveswhile providing customer and market insights that influence future product innovation and portfolio investment.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team ofexperts such asSolutions Architects, Digital, Allied, and Industry leadersbyestablishingclear expectations, strengthening consultative selling capabilities, and building organizationalexpertisethat enables scalable commercial execution.

  • Establish enterprise go-to-market strategies for strategic product launches by partnering with Product Management, Marketing, Regional Sales Leadership, Enterprise Accounts, Inside Sales, and Channel Sales to ensure coordinated execution and rapid market adoption.

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Leaders toidentifymarket opportunities, improve product mix, and increase penetration within existing customers while supporting regional business priorities and commercialobjectives.

  • Serve as the commercial subject matter expert for strategic products and solutions by providing sales leadership, executive customer engagement, competitive positioning, and complex opportunity support for high-value customer initiatives.

  • Identifyemerging market trends, customer challenges, competitive activity, and technology advancements that influence commercial strategy, product development, customer experience, and long-term business growth.

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Enablement to develop value propositions, sales tools, training programs, customer messaging, and commercialization strategies that improve sales effectiveness and customer adoption.

  • Establish performance metrics, reporting, and business reviews that measure product penetration, commercial effectiveness, customer adoption, and return on strategic investments whileidentifyingopportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Champion enterprise adoption ofnew technologies, commercial tools, and innovative selling approaches that improve customer engagement, simplify sales execution, and enhance organizational capability.

  • Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Service, and Business Unit leadership to ensure commercial strategiesremainaligned with organizational priorities and customer expectations.

  • Develop organizational capability by coaching commercial leaders,identifyinghigh-potential talent, strengthening succession pipelines, and fostering a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Represent the voice of the customer by translating market feedback into actionable recommendations that strengthen Rite-Hite's product portfolio, customer experience, and competitive differentiation.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial leadership experience supporting product commercialization, strategic sales, product management, or business development.

  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise growth initiatives that increased product adoption, revenue, and customer value.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within complex matrixed organizations.

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively(approximately 50%).
