Job Description

The Vice President, Strategy leads strategic thinking across a portfolio of life sciences clients, helping transform complex business, scientific, and market challenges into clear, commercially effective brand strategies. This role partners closely with Creative, Medical, Client Services, Media, and cross-functional teams to shape integrated solutions that inspire exceptional work while driving measurable business outcomes. Success requires strong marketing expertise, client leadership, strategic rigor, and the ability to simplify complexity into actionable direction.

What You'll Do

  • Lead brand, communications, positioning, launch, and growth strategies that align business objectives, market dynamics, clinical evidence, and customer insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop strategic briefs, positioning frameworks, messaging platforms, and integrated marketing strategies that inspire breakthrough creative work and measurable commercial impact.
  • Partner with Creative, Medical, Client Services, Analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex business challenges and deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders, facilitate alignment, influence key business decisions, and build trusted executive relationships.
  • Contribute to new business, organic growth, and thought leadership while coaching strategists and elevating the quality of strategic work across the agency.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, marketing, communications, or creative strategy within an agency, consultancy, or similarly complex client environment delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience developing positioning, segmentation, brand strategy, customer journey, and launch strategies for healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience translating scientific, commercial, market, and customer insights into strategic recommendations, creative briefs, and integrated marketing plans.
  • Experience presenting strategic recommendations and facilitating decision-making with senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring strategists, and contributing to agency growth through client expansion or new business initiatives.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience leading global or multi-market healthcare brand strategy assignments across HCP and consumer audiences.
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful brand launches, repositioning initiatives, or integrated omnichannel campaigns.
  • Experience applying behavioral science, cultural insights, or advanced research methodologies to marketing strategy.
