Senior Vice President, Back-end Software Engineer

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Back-end Software Engineer to join our technology team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support for backend features and components.
  • Scale backend architecture and codebase to support organizational growth and evolving business needs.
  • Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staff, including evaluating compliance with technology standards.
  • Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code; analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites; maintain software functionality and currency.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 9-11 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
  • Extensive experience in backend development in Java and multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
  • Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and consulting experience with structured methodologies.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to support mentoring and teamwork.
