The SEO Specialist is responsible for driving organic growth and improving the visibility, performance, and technical health of the company's digital properties. This role serves as a critical liaison between Marketing, Content, and Engineering teams, ensuring that websites are optimized for both search engines and users. The SEO Specialist leverages technical SEO expertise, content optimization strategies, and data-driven insights to increase organic traffic, improve search rankings, and support business growth objectives.

Technical SEO & Site Health:

  • Conduct Technical SEO Audits: Regularly identify and resolve crawlability, indexing, rendering, and overall site performance issues.
  • Monitor & Improve Site Health: Address technical debt like 404 errors, redirect chains, duplicate content, and indexing concerns.
  • Manage Configurations: Maintain critical technical SEO assets including XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and canonical tags.
  • Optimize Performance (with Dev Teams): Partner with developers to improve Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed performance, and mobile usability.
  • Implement Structured Data: Maintain Schema.org/JSON-LD markup to boost search visibility and qualify for rich results.
  • Support Site Architecture: Assist in evaluating URL structures, navigation, taxonomy, and overall website architecture to support scalability and search performance.

On-page SEO & Content Optimization:

  • Perform Keyword & Competitor Analysis: Identify new content opportunities and organic growth initiatives through deep-dive research.
  • Optimize On-Page Elements: Enhance metadata, headers, internal linking structures, and body copy for better search visibility.
  • Collaborate on Content Development: Work alongside content creators, designers, and marketing stakeholders to bake SEO best practices into new assets.
  • Execute Content Refreshes: Identify and optimize underperforming historical content to boost its current search performance.

Analytics, Reporting & Monitoring

  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitor organic traffic, rankings, backlinks, crawl health, and other core SEO metrics.
  • Leverage SEO Toolkits: Utilize Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, and specialized software to uncover trends.
  • Build Reports & Dashboards: Create recurring performance reports that clearly communicate insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Analyze Algorithm Updates: Keep a close eye on search engine algorithm changes and industry trends to proactively shift strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Integrate SEO into Product Roadmaps: Work closely with Engineering, Product, Content, and Marketing teams to ensure SEO requirements are built into standard project releases.
  • Guide Web Migrations & Launches: Provide technical SEO recommendations for website enhancements, full migrations, redesigns, and new feature rollouts.
  • Drive Testing & Innovation: Support SEO testing initiatives and contribute to continuous workflow and process improvements.

What you will bring to the table...

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; OR
    Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and directly related SEO experience.

You will stand out if you also have...

  • Experience in SaaS, technology, healthcare technology, telecommunications, or B2B digital marketing environments.
  • Experience with Core Web Vitals optimization and website performance initiatives.
  • Experience supporting website migrations, redesigns, or large-scale SEO projects.
  • Familiarity with SQL, BigQuery, Looker Studio, or other data visualization and analysis tools.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to support SEO research, analysis, automation, or content optimization workflows.
  • Knowledge of LLM Optimization (LLMO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and strategies for improving visibility across AI-powered search platforms and assistants.
  • Experience measuring and analyzing brand and content visibility within AI-generated search results and emerging search experiences.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript SEO and modern web frameworks.
  • Experience with backlink analysis and off-page SEO initiatives.
  • Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product development environments.
  • Google Analytics Certification.
  • Google Search Console training or certification.
  • Other relevant digital marketing or analytics certifications.

  • This position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a more extensive background check through the Federal Government as a Public Trust Position. Requirements include (subject to change), but are not limited to, active U.S. Citizenship or green card holder residing in the U.S. for a minimum of 3 consecutive years and working location is in the U.S.


The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 annually.  The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.Â
