Job description

Role Mission

As VP of Sales at Hippocratic AI, you will own enterprise commercial relationships with the world's largest biotech, medtech, and pharmaceutical companies—leading strategic sales cycles that bring breakthrough AI patient engagement solutions to the organizations that matter most. You'll drive toward our 2027 growth goals by closing multi-million-dollar deals with complex, multi-stakeholder organizations while building deep relationships with executive sponsors. This role exists because the life sciences industry is ready to deploy AI at scale, and they need an elite enterprise seller who understands their businesses, speaks their language, and can structure transformative solutions that deliver measurable patient and business outcomes.

What You Will Accomplish

Own your first major outcome: By day 90, you will have developed a robust target account list across your segment, built a qualified pipeline with at least 3–5 active conversations at VP/C-suite level, and advanced one deal to decision stage—demonstrating your ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and close enterprise sales.

Drive lasting impact: At 12 months, you will have closed multiple enterprise deals ($1M+ ACV), achieved or exceeded your revenue quota ($3M+ ARR), built a repeatable sales methodology tailored to your segment, established yourself as a trusted advisor to key accounts, and directly shaped how the world's largest life sciences companies deploy AI to improve patient outcomes at scale.

The Team

You'll partner closely with Product, Clinical, ML, and GTM teams to identify use cases, build business cases, and execute enterprise implementations. You'll operate as a field-first hunter—comfortable prospecting, navigating deals independently, and closing complex sales with minimal hand-holding. This is a revenue-bearing role where your success is directly measured and directly impacts company growth.

What You'll Do
  • Drive end-to-end enterprise sales cycles with tier-1 companies across biotech, medtech, and pharma verticals, owning the full deal lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through close and implementation alignment

  • Build compelling ROI frameworks and business cases tailored to your segment's specific priorities—using an analytical, consulting-forward approach to demonstrate patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial impact

  • Partner with Product, Clinical, and ML teams to identify and develop use case applications specific to your segment:

    • Biotech: Patient support programs, specialty drug adherence, rare disease navigation, clinical trial recruitment

    • MedTech: Patient onboarding, device adherence monitoring, post-procedure support, patient engagement

    • Pharma: Patient adherence, clinical trial recruitment, post-market surveillance, commercial patient support

  • Maintain rigorous pipeline discipline with accurate forecasting, strong CRM hygiene, and disciplined sales management that drives revenue predictability

  • Represent Hippocratic AI at industry conferences, executive briefings, and key forums (AACR, BIO, ViVE, AMCP, MD&M, etc.)—building brand credibility, thought leadership, and pipeline with decision-makers

  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite and VP-level executives at target accounts, establishing yourself as a strategic partner and thought leader in your segment

Segment Focus

This role is open for one of three segments: Biotech, MedTech, or Pharma. Candidates with expertise in any of these verticals are encouraged to apply. Your selection will be based on your background, relationships, and market expertise.

Target Companies:
  • Biotech: Commercial-stage biotech companies developing specialty therapeutics

  • MedTech: Tier-1 medical device manufacturers and medtech innovators (e.g., top device makers, emerging medtech companies)

  • Pharma: Top 20 global pharmaceutical companies and major specialty pharma

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, expertise, and quota attainment. We offer competitive packages that reflect the role's seniority and revenue responsibility, along with equity, health insurance, and other benefits. Target total compensation for this role reflects a quota of ~$3M+ ARR.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of professional enterprise sales experience, with 5+ years selling into your target segment (biotech, medtech, or pharma) or related enterprise healthcare/life sciences accounts

  • Proven track record closing large enterprise deals ($500K–$2M+ ACV) with companies in your segment, with quota-carrying history at ~$3M+ ARR per year

  • Experience selling complex solutions (consulting, SaaS, AI/ML) that require creative structuring, multi-stakeholder alignment, and bespoke solution design

  • VP-level enterprise seller with demonstrated ability to navigate C-suite and executive relationships, own accounts from cold outreach through close, and operate independently

  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to work across technical and non-technical teams, translate between business and clinical contexts, and influence senior stakeholders

  • Genuine commitment to safety, ethics, and patient-centered outcomes—not just closing deals, but ensuring solutions deliver real value to patients

  • Mission alignment and intellectual curiosity about healthcare AI and the transformative potential of our platform

Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at tier-1 companies in your target segment (major pharma, leading device makers, commercial-stage biotech)

  • Strong analytical skills with investment banking or management consulting background—valuable for ROI modeling, use-case depth, and business case development

  • Experience with AI, digital health, or data-driven patient engagement platforms in life sciences settings

  • Startup, scale-up, or regulated-industry experience in a high-growth healthcare technology company

  • Deep familiarity with your segment's business model, workflow, and buying process—pharma commercial operations, medtech regulatory landscape, biotech funding and go-to-market strategy

  • Track record representing at your segment's key conferences and industry forums
