Kestra Investment Management is seeking an Investment Specialist to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Business & Sales Strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business development, increasing assets under management, and strengthening advisor relationships across Kestra Financial, Kestra Private Wealth Services, and Bluespring Wealth Partners.
As a trusted partner to financial advisors, you will introduce them to Kestra Investment Management's suite of investment models and portfolio construction strategies. With a strong focus on sales and relationship-building, you will expand our advisor network, promote platform adoption, and deliver tailored investment guidance that aligns with client goals.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where their insights and energy directly fuel growth.
What you'll Do:
  • Lead proactive outreach and sales efforts to independent financial advisors and RIA firms, educating them on Kestra Investment Management's (KIM) investment solutions.
  • Focus efforts on initiating relationships with Advisors who are first-time partners with Kestra Investment Management.
  • Lead execution on Kestra Investment Management lead generation opportunities.
  • Engage in the full sales cycle-from lead generation and prospect engagement to onboarding.
  • Build deep advisor partnerships by understanding investment philosophies and aligning KIM solutions to help scale their businesses.
  • Provide responsive, solutions-oriented service to advisor inquiries, fostering trust and long-term loyalty.
  • Deliver compelling portfolio insights, market commentary, and consultative advice on asset allocation, model portfolios, and investment strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams and the investment group to advocate for product enhancements and drive advisor satisfaction.

What You Bring:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, sales, and relationship management skills.
  • Solid understanding of portfolio construction, investment analytics, and advisor business models.
  • Confidence in presenting via phone, video (Zoom/Teams), and in-person meetings.
  • Client-first mindset with strong problem-solving and consultative skills.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • 3+ years of experience in wealth management required; experience with independent advisors preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and drive business growth.
  • Familiarity with investment-related tools (e.g., Morningstar Direct, FactSet).
  • Demonstrated success in portfolio construction using model portfolios and strategies.

Certifications:
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 65 required (must be active and in good standing).

Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra. Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
