VP, Sales

Lion Street continues to build upon its significant growth and success over the last 14 years in becoming one of the largest distributors of life insurance in the marketplace today. The Company is now positioned to expand on our mission to be considered for all high net worth and corporate life insurance transactions by building an elite group of point-of-sale Vice President's that wholesale to financial institutions, regional banks, P&C, and RIA firms.
We are looking for experienced candidates that have averaged more than $1M+ in annual target life premium and understand sophisticated clients, products, and advisors. The VP, Sales will be in charge of managing and building upon a book of business for Lion Street Private Client (LSPC).
Responsibilities:

  • Offer sales and case design support to our firms and their advisors.
  • Correspond with Lion Street firms to share ideas and participate in team recruitment & sales campaigns assigned by management to help drive company results.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with independent producers, institutional clients, branch managers, and insurance specialists.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and Lion Street partnership carriers to recommend products and pricing strategies.
  • Utilize Lion Street's CRM to maintain appropriate records and sales reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional support before, during, and after the sale to deepen relationships with producers and clients.
  • Develop strategic client profiles to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support overall business goals.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have 5 -10 years experience wholesaling to Institutions - wire houses, national and regional banks, P&C, and RIA firms, with strong experience in client point-of-sale interactions.
  • Expertise in identifying, recruiting, and cultivating new institutional relationships from scratch.
  • Depth of knowledge and understanding of life products, planning concepts, and compliance standards for the institutional marketplace
  • The ability to work with Lion Street carriers and alliances to leverage existing product experts and resources for the benefit of the firms.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary to succeed in this role. Candidate must be willing to take initiative, exhibit creative thinking and take ownership of opportunities.
  • Self-starter attitude and strong desire to provide excellent results. Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment.
  • Licenses: Series 6 and 7 required.
  • Licenses: 24, 63, and Life, Accident & Health preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP are preferred.
