VP of Sales

Remote: Within the USABOUT THE ROLE:

HiddenLayer is seeking a strategic and execution-focused VP of Sales to lead and scale our sales organization through the company's next stage of growth. This leader will own sales performance and revenue execution, build a high-performing and scalable sales organization, and translate company growth objectives into a clear and measurable sales strategy.

Reporting to the CRO, the VP of Sales will combine strategic leadership with operational rigor—developing exceptional sales talent, establishing repeatable processes, improving forecasting and pipeline performance, and ensuring the organization consistently achieves its revenue objectives.
WHO WE ARE:

HiddenLayer protects the world's most valuable technologies from adversarial AI attacks. We were founded by AI professionals and security specialists with first-hand experience of how insidious adversarial AI attacks can be to detect and defend against. Determined to prove that these attacks were preventable, the team developed a unique, patent-pending, productized solution to support organizations in accelerating their adoption of AI securely.

Our dedication to innovation has been recognized by prestigious awards such as RSA's Innovation Sandbox Winner, CB Insights AI 100, CyberTech 100, and SC's Most Promising Early-Stage Start-up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Own Revenue Performance: Lead the organization toward achieving and exceeding revenue targets through effective quota setting, pipeline management, forecasting, and sales execution.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Translate HiddenLayer's growth objectives into a comprehensive sales strategy, balancing long-term market opportunities with near-term execution and revenue goals.
  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional sales talent while establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and consistent performance across geographically distributed teams.
  • Scale the Sales Organization: Design the organizational structure, territories, roles, performance expectations, and operating rhythms required to support continued growth and expansion into new markets.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and continuously improve scalable, data-driven sales processes, CRM practices, reporting, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Lead Through Data: Use sales metrics and market intelligence to identify opportunities, diagnose performance gaps, improve forecast accuracy, and make informed decisions about resources and priorities.
  • Strengthen Go-to-Market Alignment: Partner closely with the CRO and leaders across Marketing, Product, Finance, and other functions to align go-to-market priorities and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer: Bring customer and market insights into strategic discussions, helping influence positioning, go-to-market strategy, and product priorities.
  • Manage Sales Investments: Own the sales budget across compensation, technology, training, travel, and other investments, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and deliver measurable returns.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in enterprise sales within the cybersecurity or AI technology industry, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Advanced expertise in sales strategy, sales leadership, and operational execution within a high-growth environment.
  • Deep understanding of AI security concepts, including machine learning, threat detection, anomaly detection, and data protection.
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver against ambitious revenue targets.
  • Strong track record of recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing sales talent and leaders.
  • Deep expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, sales metrics, CRM systems, and data-driven performance management.
  • Strong understanding of customers, markets, competitive dynamics, and enterprise go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience building scalable sales processes and organizational structures during periods of rapid growth.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining close enough to execution to identify challenges and drive results.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence Product, Marketing, Finance, and executive stakeholders.
ROLE OVERVIEW:

Success in this role will be measured by more than revenue attainment. You will build the sales organization and operating foundation that enables HiddenLayer to scale.

Your leadership will drive sustainable top-line growth, expand market share, strengthen HiddenLayer's market position, and create greater predictability across the revenue organization. You will establish a high-performance sales culture and scalable operating model while ensuring customer and market insights remain central to how HiddenLayer evolves its products and go-to-market strategy.
