The RVP will serve as a pivotal business partner, enhancing performance through organic growth, optimizing client experiences and efficiency, and fostering people development and engagement.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Cultivates regional culture to achieve effectiveness by visiting office locations and engaging with clients and frontline colleagues to encourage continuous feedback loops.


  • Lead by example by maintaining personal production of $25,000.00 in new business or team selling with regional production staff.


  • Maintain producer accountability so 80% of the producer team in the region achieve their annual new business goals. Also work with sales leaders to ensure they are properly mentoring and supporting production team.


  • Engage in producer recruiting and select qualified candidates, they are mentored and developed in a way to achieve optimal performance.


  • Support and work collaboratively with other regional leaders and Operations to identify service standards, system and workflows as well as identify new opportunities to better serve clients.


  • Develops and delivers monthly and quarterly communications defining initiatives that are prioritized through quarterly sales and operation meetings


  • Participation in the sales and operation meetings that includes steps taken to champion transformation.


  • Ensure sales leaders and their production team have pipelines 2.5X the production goals needed for the year.


  • Achieves budgeted revenue and expense targets at a business unit and overall regional level.


  • Works closely with Executive Vice President and Finance Vice President and Analyst during the budget process to make decisions on areas to invest and areas to decrease spending with the intent to maximize performance.


  • Effectively work with Human Systems to effectively manage colleagues’ development, productivity and performance concerns.


  • Work with SERVCO leaders to ensure colleagues are supported and achieve excellence in their roles and standards.


  • Be able to concisely articulate plans at a strategic level and follow through to ensure projects are successfully implemented.


  • Travel to and collaborate with M and A opportunities, agency locations as needed to ensure alignment in processes, initiatives and practices.


  • Motivate, inspire, support, develop and lead direct reports, while addressing concerns and coaching them, when necessary.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Credentials:

  • A four-year degree in Finance required
  • Six years of experience in insurance industry specific to Operations or Sales
  • Four years of prior management preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint Functions


The primary language of First MainStreet is English. Excellent communication skills are defined as the ability to actively listen for total comprehension, ask questions that enhance the understanding of a certain topic, and relay information and/or instruction in a descriptive and understandable fashion in both written and verbal forms. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be necessary from time to time. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, view a computer monitor, and type (up to 8 hours a day). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
