Job description

The Corporate Director, McLaren Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI) provides executive leadership for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the McLaren Heart & Vascular Institute across McLaren Health Care. This role is responsible for advancing a fully integrated, high-performing cardiovascular service line that delivers exceptional quality, access, growth, and patient experience across all McLaren markets.
The Corporate Director works in a formal dyad partnership with the Chief Medical Director of MHVI, collaboratively aligning clinical excellence with operational execution, physician engagement, and system strategy for the cardiovascular service line of McLaren Health Care. In addition, because of the significance of employed cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular specialties within the McLaren Medical Group, works closely with MMG administration to achieve high performing employed groups. Together, the dyad is accountable for system-wide cardiovascular performance, clinical integration, and growth.
The Corporate Director is a member of the McLaren Medical Group (MMG) administration and works in close collaboration with MMG leadership, hospital CEOs, cardiovascular administrators, and McLaren Health Care executive leadership. The position partners closely with McLaren's EVP - Chief Operating Officer and EVP - Chief Clinical Officer to advance MHVI initiatives, expand access to cardiovascular services, and drive sustainable service-line growth across the McLaren system.

Required:
  • Master's degree required (healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or related field).
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital, health system, or healthcare consulting environments, with a strong focus on cardiovascular services.

Preferred:
  • Executive-level experience leading integrated cardiovascular service lines across multi-hospital systems.
  • Experience working in a dyad leadership model with physician executives.
  • Demonstrated success in system integration, service-line growth, and physician alignment.
