Job description

A tech-driven leader in sports media and marketing, Cast Iron Media is weaving brands into the tapestry of live sports and entertainment. Leveraging our unrivaled access to premium in-game inventory through league, team, and rightsholder partnerships, we deploy our state-of-the-art live sports media-buying platform for Connected TV and skillfully orchestrate in-venue branding campaigns across all major sports.

The Role

Cast Iron Media is seeking a VP ofBusiness Operations to support the execution of the company’s strategic and operational priorities.

Reporting to the COO, this position will work closely with senior leadership to bring analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and operational clarity to key company initiatives. The VP will play an important role in supporting executive decision making through structured analysis, research, and the development of high-quality executive and board-level materials.

This position requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights. The VP will conduct research, develop analytical frameworks, and produce materials that support major strategic and operational decisions across the organization.

The VP of Business Operations will contribute to the company’s continued growth by supporting disciplined execution, improving visibility into performance, and ensuring leadership has the insights needed to guide the business effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Analysis & Executive Support
    • Partner with the COO and senior leadership team to analyze strategic opportunities, operational challenges, and major company initiatives.
    • Conduct structured analysis and research to support decisions related to: market opportunities, supply partnerships, revenue initiatives, platform expansion and competitive positioning.
    • Translate complex business questions into clear analytical frameworks and actionable insights that inform executive decision making.
  • Executive Communication & Board Materials
    • Lead the development of executive presentations and materials that synthesize complex analysis into clear insights for senior leadership.
    • Prepare materials for key leadership forums including Board of Directors meetings, investor discussions, strategic planning sessions, and major partnership reviews.
    • Distill complex data and analysis into concise narratives and presentations that support executive decision making.
  • Build analytical models and reporting tools that provide insight into key company metrics and marketplace performance.
  • Analyze marketplace dynamics, partner performance, and industry trends to support strategic decision making.
  • Conduct research on developments across sports media, streaming, and advertising.
  • Produce structured research briefs that inform leadership strategy discussions.
  • Develop analytical frameworks used to evaluate new supply partnerships, markets, and product opportunities.
  • Support the company’s annual operating plan and OKR framework through performance tracking and analysis.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating progress against key company objectives.
  • Maintain OKR dashboards and ensure clear visibility into company performance.
  • Special Projects
    • Lead analytical and strategic projects initiated by executive leadership.
      • Provide structured analysis and recommendations for cross-functional initiatives.
    • Support major initiatives with clear data, research, and decision-support frameworks.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, business operations, or strategic analytics roles.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
  • Strong experience developing executive presentations, board materials, and structured business analyses.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work products with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or similarly analytical environments strongly preferred.
