Vice President of Project Management

Commercial Masonry | Austin, Texas

A growing and highly respected commercial masonry contractor is seeking a Vice President of Project Management to lead project delivery across a portfolio of masonry, EIFS, and stucco projects throughout Texas.

This is a key executive leadership position for someone who thrives on building strong teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. You'll oversee the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction handoff through project closeout, while mentoring Project Managers, protecting project margins, and helping shape the future of a company experiencing significant growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Preconstruction professionals.
  • Oversee the successful execution of multiple commercial masonry, EIFS, and stucco projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and at targeted profit margins.
  • Own project forecasting, backlog management, manpower planning, and financial performance.
  • Drive accountability across project teams while improving processes, documentation, and communication.
  • Manage change orders, risk mitigation, project reporting, and client relationships.
  • Partner with executive leadership to improve operational performance and support continued company growth.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization through coaching, performance management, and mentorship.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction, with significant experience in commercial masonry strongly preferred.
  • Leadership experience managing Project Managers and overseeing multiple concurrent commercial construction projects.
  • Experience with masonry, brick, block, stone, EIFS, stucco, concrete, or other specialty trade contractors is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Proven ability to improve processes, develop teams, and hold people accountable while maintaining a collaborative culture.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to represent the company in meetings with owners, architects, general contractors, and clients.
  • Experience with Procore, Acumatica, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
