Teufel Landscape is seeking a highly motivated Business Developer to expand our presence in the Idaho commercial construction market. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is well connected within the Boise construction community and enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping win work.

We're looking for a professional who understands commercial construction and has established relationships with General Contractors, developers, owners, architects, and industry partners. This individual will serve as the face of Teufel Landscape in the Idaho market, helping us develop new opportunities while supporting preconstruction and estimating efforts throughout the sales process.

This position offers a unique opportunity to help grow an established company while creating a pathway toward future project management leadership opportunities.

What You'll DoDrive Business Growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors, developers, owners, architects, and key industry stakeholders throughout the Boise market.
  • Identify, pursue, and help secure new commercial landscape construction opportunities.
  • Represent Teufel Landscape at networking events, industry associations, trade organizations, and community functions.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients and construction partners.
  • Promote Teufel's capabilities and establish the company as a preferred landscape construction contractor.
Build and Manage Client Relationships
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients, General Contractors, and industry partners.
  • Maintain consistent communication with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, project planning discussions, and client presentations.
Support Preconstruction & Estimating
  • Assist with project pursuit strategies, bid preparation, and proposal development.
  • Support quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and estimating activities as needed.
  • Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive proposals.
  • Review plans and specifications and help identify project opportunities.
Track Opportunities & Market Activity
  • Monitor bid boards, industry reports, and market activity for upcoming projects.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities throughout the region.
  • Provide leadership with updates on market conditions, project opportunities, and client activity.
  • Stay informed on local development projects, construction trends, and competitive activity.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, business development, estimating, project engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing relationships with Boise-area General Contractors and construction professionals.
  • Experience in commercial landscape construction or related construction trades.
  • Understanding of construction plans, specifications, bidding, and project delivery methods.
