Job Description

The Director, Business Development Strategy and Executive Operations is a trusted advisor and operational partner to the SVP of Global Business Development, responsible for driving the organization's operating rhythm, ensuring organizational improvement, supporting the strategic growth of the team, and providing strategic support to the core Global Business Development functions and their executive leaders. The role also carries direct ownership of Global Business Development strategic planning and business development process improvement - using both as primary levers through which the Director executes the SVP's agenda and strengthens organizational effectiveness.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

Executive Operations & Organizational Alignment

  • Own the SVP's operating rhythm: planning and facilitating leadership meetings, offsites, and organizational performance reviews
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the SVP on organizational priorities and strategic projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the SVP, driving accountability and follow-through across teams
  • Prepare executive communications, board materials, and talking points
  • Triage and prioritize issues escalated to the SVP; act with delegated authority when delegated and appropriate.
  • Support the tracking of Global Business Development KPIs
  • Support the SVP of Global Business Development oversight of the department budget and lead interface management with corporate finance functions for tracking budget adherence
  • Lead development of the annual and multi-year Global Business Development strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with SVP and executive-level objectives
  • Oversee adherence to process in support of the senior Global Business Development functional senior leaders
  • Drive continuous process improvement across the Global Business Development functions
  • Support the VP of Capture to implement process improvement, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence tools to expedite business development capture efficiency
  • Support the VP of Customer Relationship Management and Strategic Marketing in the pursuit of non-traditional customer and strategic partner opportunities, as required
  • Design scalable tools, templates, and playbooks that reduce friction and increase effectiveness of the team

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • The skills required for this role are typically demonstrated by 15 plus years of relevant experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience in business operations, global business development, or management consulting, including direct partnership with a senior executive
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive/board-level materials
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams

Compensation

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
