Job description

ADP is hiring a Vice President of Investments in our Corporate Global Finance organization.

As the VP of Investments will be the primary portfolio manager of multiple fixed income portfolios within the Delaware Investment Center, including the Canadian and UK client funds' portfolios (in their respective local currencies) and several USD-denominated corporate portfolios. The role is responsible for portfolio construction, liquidity and risk management, trade execution, and investment guidelines compliance.

The Delaware Investment Center manages fixed income portfolios with over $45 billion in assets under management. We follow a buy-and-hold strategy. Our primary investment objectives are safety, liquidity and diversification, with secondary objectives of maximizing book yield and interest income, while minimizing interest income volatility by averaging through interest rate cycles. The portfolios include corporate bonds, government securities (US Treasury, Agencies, Canadian government and Canadian government agency obligations, and Canadian provincial bonds), asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, etc.

This is an individual contributor position reporting directly to the VP/GM - Assistant Treasurer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities

  • Well-qualified candidates will sit in our Wilmington DE office. We support a flexible working hybrid arrangement with 3 days in the office (minimum) and 2 days at home.
  • Responsible for portfolio management, trade execution and investment of (a) fixed income portfolios invested in government and agency securities, investmentgrade corporate bonds, triple-A rated structured products with maturities up to 10 years, and (b) shortterm investments, including but not limited to time deposits and government money market funds
  • Ensure portfolios are invested in accordance with investment guidelines, with primary objectives of safety of principal, liquidity, and diversification, and secondary objectives of maximizing book yield and interest income while minimizing interest income volatility by averaging through interest rate cycles
  • Collaborate with credit team and incorporate credit analysis into investment process
  • Manage liquidity and oversee and execute reverse repurchase transactions, to ensure portfolios can meet daily funding needs
  • Prepare and present quarterly investment and portfolio reviews to the Delaware entity Board of Directors and senior management and work on ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, relationship banks and other financial institutions

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting required.
  • Advanced Degree or CFA preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in fixed income investment management or financial services industry.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal key stakeholders

Skill:

  • Must possess integrity, ambition, and be results-oriented.
  • Bloomberg, Bloomberg AIM preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • The position will be required to work on selected US holidays on a rotational basis
