We're seeking a future team member for the role ofSenior Vice President– Front Office Equities Engineering (Full-stack)

to join our Equities Engineering team in Execution Services Platform. This role is inNew York City, NY

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Architecture&Design Leadership: Play a lead role in the design, architecture and implementation of trading, sales, and operations workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering best practices.
• Trade-Flow Platform Development: Design and build flexible, scalable trade-flow software capable of handling diverse client-side and OMS-side integration patterns and high-throughput scenarios.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Trading, Operations, and Engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Technology Innovation: Work alongside a cross-functional engineering team to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, contributing to a modern, high-performance technology stack.
• AI-Driven Automation: Champion an AI-first mindset by driving automation initiatives, intelligent code refactoring, and the adoption of AI tooling to improve developer productivity and system efficiency.
• Engineering Excellence: Deliver well-designed, testable, secure, and performant code through hands-on programming, rigorous code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Production Support: Provide second-level production support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and contribute to incident resolution and post-mortem processes.
• Mentorship&Technical Leadership: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical growth, and engineering craftsmanship.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
• Industry Experience: 10 plus years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, and resilient software applications within Financial Services or similar complex, high-throughput domains.
• Core Backend Proficiency: Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem— including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and ORM frameworks — with a strong focus on building production-grade, enterprise-scale services.
• Frontend Development: Proficiency in modern front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, with working knowledge of jQuery and component-based UI architecture.
• Data&Persistence: Strong command of relational and analytical database technologies, e.g., Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server, with experience in data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.
• Messaging&Middleware: Hands-on experience with messaging and middleware technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, the FIX protocol, with an understanding of event-driven and asynchronous system design.
• Agile Delivery: Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a proven ability to deliver in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments with shifting priorities.
• Communication&Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational skills to coordinate, influence, and drive cross-team initiatives.
• Problem Solving&Innovation: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex, ambiguous problems and devise pragmatic, innovative solutions— balancing technical rigor with delivery speed.
• AI-Augmented Development: Familiarity with one or more AI coding and productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code), with a willingness to leverage AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• (Note: We value T-shaped engineers— deep expertise in one discipline (backend or frontend) with broad familiarity across the stack is preferred over equal but shallow coverage of both)
