Scope of Position
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting new and existing clients in solving their capital project needs, generating new clients, supporting existing clients, and advancing the business development process. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Leading and supporting national growth opportunities in Haskell's Industrial Design group
  • Communicating regularly with Regional Office leadership, other Business Development Leads, and Project Managers
  • Conducting appropriate research to identify target companies/organizations within industry segments denoted in the business unit plan
  • Contacting, qualifying and setting appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means
  • Providing targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and responses to specific interests identified by targets
  • Visiting qualified targets and/or arranges for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnel
  • Preparing qualifications statements and assists in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local and national civic, professional, and economic organizations that are sources of prospects
  • Maintaining up-to-date prospect files and electronic databases
  • Developing and managing a public relations program to include marketing and customer outreach
  • Representing Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings
  • Taking other steps as directed by the VP - Market or Division lead and/or VP of Business Development
  • Attracting, recruiting, developing, training, and retaining high-caliber talent

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction marketing, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience within private sector food & beverage manufacturing

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
