Location:
Job location -Rosemont, IL- Hybrid position with some telecommuting flexibility, but requirement to physically be in Rosemont, IL office four days a week.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and actively participate in all stages of model development from data collection, model building, model validation, testing, calibration, and documentation.
  • Lead modelers and analysts in the team on the art and science of modeling, data analysis, documentation, decision trade-offs between model complexity and model deployment.
  • Monitor statistical model performance and provide technical advice to business leadership.
  • Direct and lead the best practice in model development, coding, and systems. Play thought leadership in the applications of predictive analytics, data science, and other advanced methods such as machine learning and statistical modeling.
  • Respond to model scrutiny and inquiries from both internal and external validators as well as regulators to ensure conceptual soundness, model accuracy, and robustness.
  • Communicate model results to stakeholders and senior management
  • Mentor and nurture team members in cutting edge modeling technology and analytics. Direct and grow team members in all aspects of modeling & analytics as well as career growth.
  • Supervise 3 employees (VP, Financial Modeling and AVP, Financial Modeling)

Requirements:
Requires a Ph.D. in Statistics, Math, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or related field plus 8 years of experience in a related occupation.
The position also requires:
  • 4 years of experience leading a team of modelers and communicate model results to stakeholders and senior management.
  • 4 years of experience with Model design, development, documentation and compliance aspects of quantitative models.
  • 4 years of experience in Programming with at least two of the following: Python, R, SQL.
  • 4 years of experience with Comprehensive business and technical knowledge of credit risk management methodologies and techniques.
  • 4 years of Experience with regulatory model compliance including stress testing and model validation.
  • 2 years of experience with credit scoring, data mining, or predictive modeling.
  • Any amount of experience with XGBoost.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is $236,775.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
