About the Role
The Vice President, Finance & Accounting is a key member of Birdi's executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial planning, analysis, reporting, and financial operations across the organization.
This role provides strategic financial leadership while ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment between operational performance and financial objectives. The Vice President partners closely with executive leadership, department leaders, clients, and the Board of Directors to drive growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare, PBM, pharmacy, or managed care finance experience and a proven track record of leading high-performing finance organizations through growth and transformation.
What You'll Do
Financial Leadership & Strategy
  • Provide executive leadership for all accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support Birdi's growth objectives and long-term business goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish financial priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive organizational performance through data-driven financial management and accountability.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of all financial operations and reporting.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Develop meaningful financial reporting and performance metrics for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide actionable insights that support operating decisions, investments, and strategic planning.
  • Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning activities.
Business Partnership & Operational Support
  • Collaborate with leaders across all departments to drive financial performance and achievement of business objectives.
  • Support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profitability initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance related to new business development, client implementations, and operational investments.
  • Participate in RFP and RFI responses and support client-facing financial discussions.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Operations, Clinical Services, Sales, Client Services, and Executive Leadership teams.
Contracting & Financial Operations
  • Oversee contract management and financial oversight functions.
  • Ensure reimbursement and paid claims align with contracted provider network rates.
  • Support managed care, pharmacy, PBM, and payer contracting activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and processes that support business growth and compliance.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.
  • Monitor fiscal policies and ensure alignment with industry regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and operational leaders to mitigate financial and operational risk.
Technology & Process Improvement
  • Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting capabilities, and business intelligence tools.

Education

Experience
