A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICAL HELPER
As a Residential Electrical Helper, you learn the ins and outs of an electric technician's everyday duties. On every service call, you follow an experienced electrician and help them with whatever they need. You actively observe and listen to learn how to perform electrical tasks and interact with clients. When you communicate with customers, you are always professional and quick to find a resolution. You're also great at building strong customer relationships and rapport. Building the skills to a lifelong and established career gives you a great sense of fulfillment!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport tools and materials
  • Pull and route wire
  • Set up and organize tools and the job site
  • Assist with drilling, cutting, and installing supports
  • Install various electrical systems (wiring, outlets, switches, light fixtures)
  • Clean and maintain the job site
  • Learn and follow safety protocols
  • Work under direct supervision of installers

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICAL HELPER
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in the electrical field
  • Ability to commute to every job
