Job Summary:
The Vice President of Fitness Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the performance, growth, and innovation of the company's fitness business unit. This executive will ensure excellence in service delivery, financial performance, member engagement, and operational standards across all fitness centers, programs, and partnerships. The VP will drive strategic initiatives, lead high-performing teams, and align fitness operations with the company's overall mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategy for fitness operations in alignment with company goals.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and innovation in fitness programming, partnerships, and technology.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure the organization remains a market leader in fitness and wellness.

Operational Excellence
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of fitness centers and programs across multiple locations.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Management
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for fitness operations.
  • Drive revenue growth through membership, personal training, specialty programming, and ancillary services.
  • Implement cost-effective operational strategies without compromising service quality.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire regional and site-level fitness leaders.
  • Build a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of staff to ensure best-in-class service delivery.

Member Experience & Engagement
  • Ensure an exceptional member experience that fosters retention and engagement.
  • Oversee the design and execution of innovative fitness programs, classes, and digital offerings.
  • Gather and analyze member feedback to continuously improve services.

Partnerships & Business Development
  • Collaborate with corporate partners, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance offerings.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, acquisitions, and strategic alliances in fitness and wellness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in fitness, wellness, or hospitality operations.
  • Proven track record of multi-site operational leadership and financial performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of fitness industry trends, digital platforms, and member engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
