JOB SUMMARY

This position is to assist management of the activity of the used truck sales department. By performing the duties of this position, the employee will help the truck sales people to be more productive and increase departmental revenue. This position will also assist the Used Truck Sales Manager and the VP of Sales with the duties of that position.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Work with the UTC to provide values to the salesmen & general managers for trades.
  • Daily manage and support sales efforts of used truck team.
  • Work closely with corporate used truck manager and marketing department to develop sales and marketing strategies.
  • Help develop used truck department sales personnel with CRM, appraisals and proper used truck write-up skills.
  • Evaluate used truck department performance.
  • Help manage inventory.
  • Work with corporate used truck manager and general managers to analyze turns and gross profit.
  • Locate, analyze and recommend equipment to purchase for all Bruckner locations.
  • Visit all locations bi-annually to cover CRM/equipment needs and build relationship with salesmen.
  • Help general managers administer used truck recon for all locations.
  • Secure values for wholesale equipment not appropriate for retail within the Bruckner group.
  • Work with corporate used truck manager and marketing department on CRM appraisals and inventory systems.
  • Actively seek and engage in any and all used truck industry organizations to build and strengthen relationships within our industry.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required.
  • Must have a minimum 2 years retail sales experience.
  • Preferably some heavy duty of medium duty truck experience.
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to company core values.

Language Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills.


Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability

  • Adequate skill to prepare sales quotes, sales assistance, and analyze truck market data.
  • This position requires that the employee plan and prioritize their work load.

Special Skills
This position requires a large amount of interaction and communication with customers and prospects to facilitate the sales process. General ability to operate a computer is required.
