Job description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a ServiceNow Discovery Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of our enterprise ServiceNow Discovery platform, driving accurate infrastructure visibility, high-quality Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data, and scalable automation across a global technology environment.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Cyber Security Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions

  • Administer, configure, and support the ServiceNow Discovery platform, including MID Servers, schedules, credentials, and integrations

  • Design, develop, and maintain Discovery Patterns, Probes, and Sensors to enhance coverage and CMDB data accuracy

  • Troubleshoot Discovery failures by analyzing logs, connectivity, authentication, and infrastructure configurations

  • Partner with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application teams to onboard new technologies and expand Discovery scope

  • Develop automation using PowerShell and Python to streamline administration, operational tasks, and Discovery processes

  • Manage Discovery configurations and code through GitHub and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps best practices

  • Monitor Discovery health, MID Server performance, and CMDB data quality, implementing improvements to ensure reliable asset visibility

  • Contribute to platform architecture, technology evaluations, and best practices for ServiceNow Discovery and enterprise asset management

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and document configurations, procedures, and technical solutions to support knowledge sharing

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience administering and engineering ServiceNow Discovery in large enterprise environments

  • Strong expertise in Discovery components, including MID Servers, Patterns, Probes, Sensors, credentials, and troubleshooting

  • Experience managing CMDB data quality, reconciliation processes, and identification rules

  • Strong Windows Server administration experience, including deployment and troubleshooting of MID Servers

  • Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and infrastructure management

  • Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and CI/CD practices, including configuration-as-code

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, NAT, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and connectivity troubleshooting

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments
