We are in an active phase of strategic transformation and are looking for a VP Finance who combines financial rigour with commercial instinct.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
As VP Finance you will be the primary financial steward of Xe, leading a capable team across Financial Control, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Credit, and Middle Office. You will hold personal FCA Senior Manager accountability (SMF2) and carry board and director responsibilities across Xe's multi-entity legal structure. This is a hands-on role for a finance leader who can operate with precision across a complex multi-jurisdiction environment while remaining a close strategic partner to the business.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial leadership & business partnering
  • Own Xe's financial performance - revenue, margin, cost, and capital allocation - as the primary financial voice to the MD and Euronet Group CFO.
  • Partner with commercial, product, and operations leadership on unit economics, investment cases, and pricing decisions.
  • Manage the relationship with Euronet Group finance on consolidated reporting and capital allocation.

Accounting & financial statements
  • Own the accounting function globally - accurate, timely, standards-compliant financial statements (IFRS / UK GAAP) across all entities.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, consolidation, intercompany accounting, balance sheet integrity, and fixed assets.
  • Manage tax compliance across jurisdictions (VAT/GST, corporate tax) with external advisors and Euronet's internal tax team.

FP&A, budgeting & cost control
  • Lead FP&A - evolve from a static model to driver-based rolling forecasts and scenario planning that connect business activity to financial outcomes.
  • Own the annual budgeting process end-to-end; track actuals vs. budget monthly and drive variance accountability with function heads.
  • Enforce the global expense policy and act as second-level approver on material invoices.

Financial control & controlling
  • Oversee month-end close, external audit relationships, and accounts payable globally.
  • Define and maintain Xe's internal financial control framework across all entities - procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles.
  • Serve as primary interface with internal and external audit; track and remediate control deficiencies.

Treasury, credit & middle office
  • Manage multi-currency, multi-entity treasury operations - FX exposure, settlement, liquidity, and TMF relationships with banking partners.
  • Ensure safeguarding of client funds under Payment Services and Electronic Money Regulations; oversee regulatory capital and stress testing.
  • Define and implement Xe's corporate credit policy - currently a strategic gap - and oversee credit risk, limits, provisioning, and collections.
  • Oversee middle office: trade confirmation, settlement, valuation, and front-to-back controls.

Regulatory, board & governance
  • Hold SMF2 (Chief Finance Function) accountability under FCA Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
  • Carry board director responsibilities across Xe's regulated entities - HiFX Europe Ltd, HiFM Ltd, XE Europe BV, XE Corporation.
  • Act as or support the Nominated EMD for Xe's EMI license application.
  • Own regulatory reporting across FCA (UK), DNB (NL), ASIC (AU), and FINTRAC (CA).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Essential
  • Proven VP Finance, CFO, or Deputy CFO experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
  • FCA-regulated experience; SMF2 approved or demonstrably approvable under SMCR.
  • Multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction experience - UK, EU, APAC preferred.
  • Strong FP&A and commercial finance capability; driver-based modelling and business partnering.
  • Hands-on accounting and financial statements experience across multiple entities and standards (IFRS / UK / US GAAP).
  • Treasury and liquidity management experience in a multi-currency context.
  • Payments, FX, or money movement industry background.

Preferred
  • EMI or Payment Institution regulation experience; CASS safeguarding and regulatory capital frameworks.
  • Experience building or scaling a corporate credit function.
  • Familiarity with payment rails (SEPA, SWIFT, real-time) and treasury automation.
  • Experience partnering with a listed parent on group reporting and capital allocation.

XE offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this (Salary Exempt or Non-exempt hourly rate) role ranges from ($250,000USD to $275,000USD). Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
