Vice President of Finance

The Company:

They are dedicated to operational excellence and are seeking a seasoned financial leader to help support their continued growth and success.

The Position:

Our client is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance to oversee all accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and core finance functions across multiple entities. This executive leadership role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning while driving operational improvements throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Required
  • 10-15 Years of Accounting and Finance Experience
  • 10-15 Years of Accounting Management Experience
  • Healthcare Experience Strongly Preferred
  • Experience with Private Practice or Physician Group Organizations Preferred
  • Multi-Company and Multi-Site Accounting Experience
  • Payroll and Workers' Compensation Experience
  • Basic Tax Knowledge
  • Experience Converting Financial Systems (QuickBooks, Payroll Platforms, etc.)
  • Familiarity with AI Tools in Accounting is a Plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong Leadership, Communication, and Organizational Skills
  • Exceptional Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities
  • High Level of Professionalism and Confidentiality
  • Strategic, Hands-On Leadership Style

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reporting and bank reconciliations
  • Analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Lead annual budgeting and financial planning initiatives
  • Prepare monthly physician and executive leadership reports
  • Oversee payroll operations and provide backup payroll processing
  • Supervise medical billing financial reporting and accounts receivable oversight
  • Manage workers' compensation, payroll tax reporting, and employee benefit reconciliations
  • Oversee 401(k) administration
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
